BELGA FILMS is the leading independent distributor in the Benelux. Over the years, BELGA FILMS has developed a strong relationship with the most recognized local and international producers and studios such as a.o. Summit, Lion’s Gate, Europacorp, StudioCanal, Gaumont.

Activities range from theatrical to video distribution of  owned catalog, but also other prestigious catalogs such as TF1 Video, Gaumont, SND-M6, Europacorp, Citel … And last but not least, exploitation of TV rights – free and pay TV – VOD, SVOD.

Besides Belga Films develops exhibition projects with a.o. a multiplex project in Liège and recently also created a filmed entertainment production brand – Belga Studios.

 

The function

This is a strategic and operational role within the Belga Films marketing team. The key function of this role is to take responsibility for the the launch of movies for their theatrical release (cinema) on all marketing channels. You will identify and leverage strategic and tactical business opportunities in order to manage your dedicated products successfully. You will analyze the performance of your marketing plans to enrich future plans and strategies.

 

  1. Experience
    1. 5 years of experience of product management preferably but not necessarily in a similar environment (entertainment – B2C) with a track record of implementing successful product launches
    2. You will have a proven capability and experience of 360 °communication and media management (offline & online)
    3. Experience with the Dutch market is a plus.
    4. Proven experience of agency & external partners’ management

    3. Good communication, presentation and influencing skills are key as is the ability to manage multiple projects and keep things on track.
    4. Analytical, autonomous, team-player, critical mindset, leadership, written & verbal communication skills.
    5. Languages: FR, EN, NL

 

  1. Main tasks
    • Building and implementing the B2B & B2C marketing/release plans for theatrical launches, including advertising, promotion, publicity and trade marketing
  1. Producing the promotion and communication materials needed for product launches, in close collaboration with Servicing & external agencies/partners
  2. Developing Publicity strategies in line with communication strategies, in close collaboration with the press team
  3. Developing promotion strategies – media & tie-ins – in line with the marketing strategy, the film positioning and the target audience. Media promotions are developed in collaboration with the promotion assistant
  4. Taking the lead on the development of tie-in promotions with brands for all products, including video & digital with the possible collaboration of external partners (consultant, agency,..)
  5. Reportingtothe producers on marketing strategies & operational plans and contributing to maintain/increase a professional approach towards them.
  6. Managing, negotiating & optimizing Print & Advertising budgets
  7. Analyzing & optimizing media campaigns performance, in close collaboration with the media agency
  8. Developing & implementing transversal synergies with other channels like Home Entertainment (Video & Digital)
